Tuscaloosa County Mine Accident Kills 1, Injures 9

An accident at a Tuscaloosa County coal mine killed one miner and caused nine others to be hospitalized on Tuesday. Two miners are still under observation this morning at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa. The miners were treated for heat exhaustion and other symptoms. The cause of the accident is unknown, but federal, state, local, union, and company officials are currently investigating.
